Taken from the Wikipedia article: Developer(s): Funcom Publisher(s): SEGA Release date(s): 1995 Story/GameplayNightmare Circus is a beat'em-up mixed with elements from platform games and fighting games, made for Sega Genesis/Mega Drive. The hero, Raven, is trying to put an end to the nightmarish circus that only appears on stormy nights. He has to fight twisted and warped circus denizens through a variation of deadly circus levels. The game also includes a multiplayer option, the two player games are as a follows, a fighting one, and the regular game itself with both players present on the screen at the same time. Although it is very easy to get separated from one another. MiscThis game was made as an answer from SEGA to Nintendo's Donkey Kong Country, it was completed, and was ready for release but the company pulled out at the last second, it was still released in Brazil however. And eventually it came over to the USA via. Sega Channel However, there are some people that claim that they own an English version of the manual, as well as an English version of the game. The controls in this game are rather sensitive, for instance, when you want to turn around in a room, you will have to press down gently, if you press it down too hard Raven will duck. There are currently no strategy guides available for this game.

I have to say, this is a pretty poor answer to Donkey Kong. This game is not fun to play, is slow moving, and is incredibly dark.
Back to the drawing board, Sega.

What kind of nonsense is that Jim? You dope. Sega's answer to DKC was Vectorman, which was a very well made game. Nightmare Circus was a cancelled third party title that was only ever released in Brazil (although pretty much unofficially). I'm not even sure where you came up with that comparison.
